Kiki Tong moved to Eugene by way of Hong Kong, San Francisco and Brookings, Oregon. She started her career as an esthetician in Hong Kong and has a deep and enduring passion for beauty, health and self care.
After studying business in San Francisco, Kiki moved to Brookings, Oregon to study acupuncture and herbal medicine. She has a deep knowledge of Chinese herbs and she applies all of this to her hand crafted beauty products.
One year ago Kiki opened her own salon here in Eugene but will have to close it shortly due to toll that the coronavirus has taken on her business. She is not distraught or disheartened, instead she pours her energy into making and selling her products, cooking, camping and taking excellent care of herself.
We are thrilled to feature Kiki's product line in the shop this month. "These are such stressful times and that stress can take a toll on our beauty and our skin," Kiki says. She is offering free zoom skin tutorials because she understands the financial and emotional strain that many people are enduring right now.
"There is not a tradition for taking good care of your skin here in America. My grandmother taught me how to care of my skin from a very young age but many people don't have that knowledge or ritual. Incorporating skin care rituals into your day can help prevent aging and increase vitality and vibrance. We all deserve that." Kiki radiates and her products are all crafted with love and care.
The Hyaluronic Vitamin C Serum is her favorite product, it is fragrance free, packed with vitamin C to protect the skins elasticity and prevent wrinkles, hyaluronic acid which keeps skin plump and hydrated and red algae extract to cleans, tone and soothe the skin.
You can find a number of products from Kiki in the shop this month, including hand crafted 100% cotton face masks, sustainably crafted hand sanitizer, calming meditation oil, Vitamin C serum and if you're really ready to delve into some self care or give it as a gift to a loved one, a full facial kit!
